Muri Beach is by far the most spectacular
coastal section of all Rarotonga. Here the lagoon
is at its broadest.
Known for its small, uninhabited islands called "motu" and wide
lagoon, Muri Beach is ideal for picnics and all types of water
sports including windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking. The motus
are easy to reach even by "not so fit" swimmers ;-)

| If you are planning on getting married, you
can have an island style wedding on one of the motus. There
are restaurants, cafes, and bars on Muri Beach as well as along
the main road, yet the area retains a tranquil and peaceful
island athmosphere light years removed from the hustle and bustle
of Waikiki. |
