Vara’s office rents fully automatic scooters which are 125cc and have excellent economy.  You must be 21 years and over with current local or overseas drivers license.  Cars, jeeps, bicycles and buses can be rented from any of the rental companies on the roadside of Vara’s.  Please note Vara’s office are agents of a rental company so the rental of a vehicle will be subject to their policy and requirements. 

CI DRIVERS LICENCE Note:  It is Cook Island Law that you must obtain a Cook Islands Drivers Licence for the hiring of any motor vehicle .  The rental agent you rent from will be able to sell you a “Temporary Cook Islands Licence” for one day which will allow you to drive into town to obtain your full local drivers licence at the Police station.
